This week's celeb inspiration is 34 year old Taiwanese actress Ms. Barbie Hsu (Da S = Big S). Many know her from a tv show called Meteor Garden (based on the Japanese manga Boys Over Flowers), which started the whole "idol drama" craze in Asia. Or from the singing duo ASOS which consisted of her and her younger sister Dee Hsu. I heard Barbie recently got engaged/married to a handsome millionaire (EVERY GIRL'S DREAM! LOL), so that re-peaked my interest in her and I knew she was very involved in the fashion industry so I just had to dedicate a post on the natural beauty. Congrats to Da S for finding love!

Barbie looks so gorgeous and natural while taking promotional wedding photos with costar Peter Ho. I want that to be my princess wedding dress!
Da S knows the right way to rock the boyfriend blazer with a jumper attending the Shanghai Film Festival with actor Shawn Yue in a stunning one shoulder Elie Saab gown
Barbie with Andy Lau promoting their movie Future X Cops (which was a really good movie btw)
With actor Huang Xiao Ming for their Elle Magazine shoot, the red stands out so nicely against her porcelain skin!

If you follow Asian entertainment, you'd probably notice that a majority of the Chinese/Korean/Japanese, etc actresses and singers have pale skin. Skin whitening to Asians is the equivalence of what tanning is for Americans; only a lot less aging. So the next time you plan on visiting a cancerous tanning bed, remember there are people out there wanting to be as pale as you because to them, that's beautiful.
